Arsenal will be taking on Sporting Portugal tonight in the Europa League as they aim to make it three wins from three games in Europe and eleven consecutive wins in all competitions. However, yesterday when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang tweeted a picture of some of the squad on the plane ahead of their flight, they were shocked to see Carl Jenkinson.

Jenkinson has been at Arsenal for a very long time but it looks to most people that he’s going to struggle to get a game under Unai Emery. The season so far has seen him struggle to make even the bench and with both Hector Bellerin and Stephan Lichtsteiner ahead of him as a right-back it looks like his wait for first-team football will continue until he’s eventually sold.
The last appearance that the defender made for Arsenal was back in November 2016 when he made a string of appearances in the Premier League and Champions League under Arsene Wenger. In that time he managed almost minutes against PSG in Europe. However, it’s unlikely he’ll get any minutes in Europe tonight and the fans will be expecting Belerin to continue on his good form from Monday night in Portugal.

The Gunners are shocked to see Jenkinson and will be hoping he’s only on the bench if in the squad at all.
