Arsenal fans take to Twitter to demand against Ever Banega move

A lot of managers have their key go-to players when they go from club to club, bringing their stars with them. Unai Emery is no different and as he nears his 3rd transfer window with Arsenal, Sportmediaset have claimed that Monchi is already shortlisting names, and Ever Banega is being touted for a reunion with his former gaffer.

Ramón Rodríguez Verdejo, or Monchi for short, is the famous director of football who helped to discover and make a profit on the likes of Ivan Rakitic, Sergio Ramos and Dani Alves and recent reports claim that he’s Arsenal-bound. The 50-year-old left his role at Roma just four days ago by mutual consent, and almost every outlet, including the Sportmediaset article above, has claimed he’s on his way to Arsenal.
With every club, whenever a new director of football or recruitment guru comes in, what follows them is a list of names that media outlets claim they’ll be looking to sign. With Monchi, given his previous work at Sevilla with Unai Emery, one of those names is Ever Banega. The Argentine midfielder is a class act, yet considering his age and the difference in tempo between La Liga and the Premier League, a lot of the Gunners don’t think that signing the 30-year-old is a wise move.
Taking that into account, here’s what the Gunners have made of seeing Banega’s name pop up:

With

Bang average players. We need only Tagliafico from that list, he should unearth other gems for us. I know this is fake news though, how can anyone be excited about Banega? A 30 year old midfielder?

What’s our obsession with banega

The Gunners are desperate for the Banega rumours to be dropped and will be keeping their fingers crossed that when the summer comes around they sign a younger more dynamic midfielder ahead of him.
