Arsenal fans take to Twitter to laud superb Willock in Blackpool win

Joe Willock is going to be the name on the Arsenal fans’ lips after yesterday. The young midfielder scored twice from central midfield as the Gunners ran out 3-0 winners at Bloomfield Road, and the fans are all loving how many young players they’ve got bursting through at The Emirates at the moment.

The Gunners were pleased to see the man of the moment record a message for the fans after the game where he thanked the supporters for coming to the game and getting behind the team, and he will certainly be celebrating that win after notching two more professional goals for the club. Now, though, the bar has been raised and the fans will be expecting even more from the 19-year-old.
His strikes against Blackpool were just his 2nd and 3rd for the club’s senior side after he found the net in the Europa League to open his Arsenal account back in a 3-0 away win against Vorskla. The young midfielder is certainly one for the future, and with his ability to play on both flanks and through the middle of the Gunners’ midfield, he’s one that Unai Emery will certainly be keeping a close eye on.

The Gunners absolutely loved Willock’s performance and the goals will be something that they’ll come to expect if he keeps performing like that for the senior side.
