Yesterday saw Arsenal travel to the John Smith Stadium to take on Huddersfield in what was billed as being an easy win for the Gunners. The game finished 2-1 to the travelling side, as the Terriers continue to prop up the table, however, that may not have been the case had Henrikh Mkhitaryan not been at his scintillating best.
Welcome back, @HenrikhMkh
What did you make of Henrikh’s return in #HUDARS?

Mkhitaryan may not have managed to get himself on the scoresheet in the 2-1 win, but he was sublime throughout and always looked like causing the Yorkshire side some bother. The two goalscorers for the Gunners were Alex Iwobi and Alexandre Lacazette, although the supporters would have loved to have seen Mkhitaryan grab a goal to cap off a wonderful performance.
The Armenian international’s outing yesterday was his first in the Premier League since he netted a brace in a 3-2 loss away at St Mary’s. Since that game, the Gunners have taken to the field eight times without him, so his return will come as a welcome boost to Unai Emery. The next step for the 30-year-old will be to get back amongst the goals, as he’s already netted four in 14 games in the league this.

The Gunners were delighted with Mkhitaryan and will be keen for the winger to continue to shine as the season draws on.
