Arsenal fans take to Twitter to slam Aubameyang after decisive penalty miss

Today could have been a serious day of celebration for the Gunners. Arsenal fans were in dreamland when they found themselves drawing 1-1 and with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang steadying himself ahead of a late spot-kick. However, his penalty lacked conviction and Hugo Lloris got down well to keep it out.
Aubameyang misses from the spot

In that situation on a pressure penalty, a lot of Arsenal fans cannot believe that it was Aubameyang who was tasked with the job of putting the ball in the net. Back in December, it was the Gabonese striker who stepped up with a spot-kick against the Lilywhites and whilst he scored that one, this time around the Gunners were gutted to see their record signing buckle under the pressure.
If Aubameyang, who came off the bench just 11 minutes after the restart, had been able to score the crucial winner it would have been his 17th goal of the season in the competition, yet instead, he couldn’t bag and give the Gunners their first away win against their North London rivals since October 2015 when a Mathieu Flamini double downed Spurs.

Asides from Speed, I’d take Olivier Giroud a billion times over Aubameyang. There’s nothing special about him

My 3 year old granddaughter could have taken a better penalty than that. Shockingly bad.

The Gunners weren’t at all happy with Auba after his miss and will be desperate for him to redeem himself next weekend against Manchester United.
