Arsenal fans have had it tough over the last few weeks. Unai Emery has done a great job at times with this team in North London, but back-to-back-to-back losses against Crystal Palace, Wolves and Leicester have derailed their top four hopes. In those games, they’ve been poor and Henrikh Mkhitaryan came into the firing line yesterday.
73: Guendouzi replaces Mkhi.

The Gunners absolutely slated Mkhi when he was hooked on 73 minutes yesterday as the Armenian ex-Manchester United man failed to get on the ball and do what he does best for the North London side. At half-time, the travelling side had an abysmal 26% and ended the game with 32%, something unheard of for an Arsenal team over the last few years.
The beautiful Arsene Wenger football used to be all about possession etc, but Emery’s side have failed to even hold onto the ball as of late, and part of that is up to his ball carriers. One of those is Mkhi, and the fact that they couldn’t keep the ball meant that his most important trait was rendered useless, and it was absolutely no shock to see the winger hooked as Emery made changes in search of a result.

The Gunners absolutely hated seeing Mkhitaryan yesterday and will be desperate to get the Armenian off of their club’s wage bill in the summer
