Arsenal fans have been getting rightfully angry at their side as of late. The Gunner’s defence is a shambles to say the least, and once again they were undone cheaply when they drew 1-1 away at Brighton, as a long ball from goalkeeper Matt Ryan was enough to cut through Unau Emery’s defence.
Locadia latches on to a loose ball, rounds Leno and Brighton are level#BHAARS 1-1

When Matthew Ryan collected the ball and fired a long ball downfield, there was no imminent danger to the Gunners goal. However, with a collection of errors from Laurent Koscielny, Matteo Guendouzi and Stephan Lichtsteiner, Jurgen Locadia was allowed in to score his 3rd Brighton goal since he made the move from PSV to the Amex Stadium almost one whole year ago.
Getting away from Brighton’s side of the goal, it was shocking from Unai Emery’s point of view. The Spaniard came to the club with the main objective of improving their rocky backline, and things have hardly improved. So far, Arsenal have shipped the same amount of goals as Crystal Palace, and that will be a stat that they’ll be keen to work on in the new year.

The Gunners are desperate for defensive improvements and will hope Emery can make some purchases in the upcoming winter window to remedy that.
