Arsenal: Fans wish Jen Lehmann a happy 50th birthday

Arsenal fans were wishing former great, Jens Lehmann, a happy birthday after the German ‘keeper turned 50-years-old.

Lehmann moved to the club in the summer of 2003 after David Seaman had left for Manchester City. He went on to achieve footballing immortality as he helped the Gunners win the Premier League title whilst going unbeaten in his very first season in north London.

The Germany international made 200 appearances for the Gunners across two spells, keeping 80 clean sheets and conceding just 168 goals in all competitions (via Transfermarkt).

His most infamous moment in the famous red and white proved to be the Champions League final against Barcelona in 2006, where he received a red card for his foul on Samuel Eto’o just 18 minutes into the game (via Arsenal).

Fans fawned of one of the club’s legendary goalkeepers as they took to Twitter to celebrate his 50th birthday.
