Arsenal fight Spurs for signature of excellent midfielder

RabiotArsenal and Tottenham Hotspur fans don’t need too much to make them clash in the Transfer Tavern but the latest transfer reports have sparked all-out bar warfare.

The Independent says that both North London outfits are battling for the signature of Paris Saint-Germain’s Adrien Rabiot in the New Year.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is looking for young talent to improve his excellent squad, with the 20-year-old fitting the bill perfectly, whilst Arsenal’s interest has been ignited due to the three-month injury layoff for Francis Coquelin.

The defensive midfielder has attracted long-term interest from Arsenal but the Gunners are now prepared to make an official bid, should the young ace show desire for a fresh start in the Premier League.

Rabiot has found opportunities in the French capital limited and could be swayed by the option of regular first-team football, which would provide a huge boost to Arsenal’s squad in the race for the Premier League title.

Arsenal fans have stated they’d be happy with Rabiot’s arrival, though they have conceded that they would prefer a more experienced option.
