Metro have Arsenal fans looking up with interest here in the Football Transfer Tavern this evening.
They claim that Yaya Sanogo was not only homeless before his move to North London but that he has called on fans to give him some more time to adjust to life in the Premier League and that he will eventually come good.
He spoke about his life in the top flight of English football so far and noted that he has experienced a massive change around personally and that the best is yet to come with Arsene Wenger to be eventually rewarded for taking a chance on him.
He noted: “I feel pressure of course.
“Just three years ago I was living on the streets. Today I’m playing for Arsenal. I need time.
“I just wanted to be a footballer when I was at Auxerre, but then I got injured for two years. Then Arsenal found me and took a chance.”
The Gunners are of course struggling with a ridiculous amount of injuries right now.
However, there was at least some light at the end of the tunnel given there were no further casualties after the international fixtures of late – so far – but as our regulars note, Wenger still needs everyone back as soon as possible.
Arsenal fans. Will Sanogo ever come good at Arsenal or was signing him a massive mistake? Let us know your thoughts below.
