Arsenal hand trial to player closely-tied with Alexis Sanchez

Alexis SanchezArsenal fans inside the Transfer Tavern absolutely adore Alexis Sanchez- so they’re pleased to hear today that a player with close ties to the Chilean looks set to have a future with Arsenal.

The Daily Mail state Chile’s U17 captain Marcelo Allende recently spent two-weeks on trial with the Gunners, coming to north London from Cobreloa- the club where Alexis Sanchez started his career.

16-year-old Allende is highly-rated as one of South America’s brightest young prospects and Arsenal have had their eyes on the player for some time, with their interest first stemming after the U17 World Cup last summer.

The teenager reportedly spoke to his compatriot Alexis during his time at London Colney and received tips on how to improve- and Arsenal will now be hopeful of completing a deal, though they must adhere to FIFA’s strict guidelines and Allende will not be able to sign a professional deal until he’s 18.

Our landlord believes this is good news for Arsenal though, with the Gunners continuing to cast their eyes towards fresh young talent.
