Arsenal fans have been handed a massive boost by the Daily Mail here in the Football Transfer Tavern.
The publication report that Laurent Koscielny has penned a new deal at the club, ending fears that he may well have had his head turned, leaving North London in the summer.
The 28-year-old has been vital in the Arsenal defence this season and it comes as no shock that our punters are rejoicing at this new deal, with the French star a firm favourite with the locals.
The player himself spoke after putting pen to paper on a new deal and noted to the club’s official website: “I am very proud to have reached agreement with the club on a new contract.
“I have enjoyed four great years at Arsenal already, and I look forward to continuing to help the team in the years to come.”
Not only did the player himself express how pleased he was at the new deal, but his manager Arsene Wenger also noted that this was a massive plus for the club.
Wenger gushed: “I am delighted he has decided to commit his future to the club.”
It of course makes him the eighth player to commit his future to the Gunners who are looking to kick on from this season’s success.
