Arsenal have put a £22.5 million price tag on Iwobi amid interest

Arsenal supporters will be hoping that their side can enjoy a better campaign than the last as they failed to secure Champions League football. Although, with a small amount of time left in the summer transfer window, a couple more pieces of business could work wonders.

Indeed, the Gunners will have their eyes set firmly on securing a Champions League spot in the next campaign after missing out on a place in the top-four last season. Although, it looks as if Unai Emery is looking to offload one of Arsenal’s star players, as according to Il Messaggero, Emery is willing to sacrifice Alex Iwobi amid interest from Italian side Lazio.

Interestingly, it’s believed that Nigerian international Alex Iwobi is on Lazio’s wishlist as they continue to look for a suitable replacement for Felipe Anderson.

And, the new Arsenal boss Unai Emery is reportedly willing to sacrifice Iwobi as he overhauls the squad he inherited from Arsene Wenger.

THE VERDICT:

So, it looks as if the Gunners may lose one of their star players before the start of the next campaign, which could have a negative effect on their performances as the season progresses.

Alex Iwobi has established himself as one of the most promising players at the Emirates in recent years as he continues to come on leaps and bounds, so losing him this summer could prove to be a big mistake in the long run.
