But behind the scenes at the Emirates Stadium, Arsene Wenger and co are already working hard to build a squad capable of competing in next seasons’ Premier League title race.
And according to the Daily Mail, Wenger is casting his eye on a fellow Frenchman Antoine Griezmann.
Griezmann currently plays for Real Sociedad and is rated at £18 million.
The 23-year-old has earned rave reviews in Spain and Arsenal’s scouts have been to watch the youngster play on numerous occasions.
Unsurprisingly, that kind of form has seen him named in Didier Deschamps’ France World Cup squad so he’ll be heading for Brazil this summer.
And it could end up as part of a double deal with Wenger still interested in former Arsenal attacker Carlos Vela.
When Vela left for Real Sociedad the clever folk at Arsenal installed a £3.3 million buy-back clause and with 16 La Liga goals this season, that’s likely to be activated.
Arsene Wenger is hoping to secure both as quickly as possible and a deal could even be done before the French squad leave for South America.
