talkSPORT are always good for a rumour and here at the Football Transfer Tavern they have given us a cracker today. The publication claim that a Premier League trio are set to do battle with Ligue 2 big spenders Monaco for Nicolas N’Koulou.
The defender is being tracked by not only the French second division side but also by Premier League heavyweights Manchester City, Newcastle United and Arsenal and all four are set to make their admiration well-known as the summer draws closer.
The 23-year-old has been putting in some brilliant displays for Marseille and now has a rising price tag on his head. Despite being a virtual unknown not so long ago, the defender now has a growing reputation around Europe and £6 million will be the very least he is sold for in the summer.
Arsenal are looking to a complete revamp of their back line this summer and we all know how fond Manchester City are of buying any player who shows a little bit of promise. Alan Pardew has a brilliant scouting network in France and is also looking to bring in another centre half in the summer should his unhappy skipper make a move back to Argentina.
Will one of the English trio land the Cameroon international this summer? Rate this rumour below.
