Arsenal in race to sign Dominik Szoboszlai

Arsenal will be looking to make the most of Chelsea’s negative result yesterday as they now find themselves just one point behind Manchester United, who currently sit in fourth position.

The Gunners will now turn their attention towards a two-legged tie with BATE Borisov in the Europa League, with the opportunity to secure silverware and possibly a place in the Champions League if they go all the way.

Interestingly, it appears as if the North London club are eyeing a possible swoop, as according to AS (via Metro), Arsenal are interested in signing Dominik Szoboszlai.

Arsenal are keen on signing Red Bull Salzburg’s Dominik Szoboszlai.

However, they find themselves in a battle to sign the youngster as the likes of Bayern Munich, Juventus and Inter Milan are all interested in signing him.

Indeed, the 18-year-old has was hugely impressive in the Austrian Bundesliga last season, and his current club will listen to offers of around €10 million (£8 million) for him in the summer.

THE VERDICT:

He operates as a midfielder with his strength and physical side of the game being his strongest attributes, along with the ability to create and score goals.

The Gunners already have a number of impressive young talents at the club, including Emile Smith Rowe who is currently on loan at RB Leipzig, so the future would look even brighter if the Gunners manage to sign Szoboszlai.
