Arsenal still find themselves in fourth position after failing to secure any points in front of home support against Crystal Palace earlier on today.
The Gunners will need to strengthen in the summer transfer window if they are to progress in the Premier League next season, as defensive issues have let them down at times.
What’s the News?
However, it appears as if the North London club are looking at an attacker at this moment in time, as according to The Mirror, Arsenal are interested in Ajax’s Hakim Ziyech.
The most attractive thing about signing the attacking midfielder is the amount of goals he can create and produce in the final third, with 19 goals and 20 assists to his name this season.
And, he can leave for a bargain price of £25 million.
But, securing his services won’t be easy as the likes of Liverpool, Man City and Man United are also in the race.
The Moroccan, who is valued at £31.5 million (as per Transfermarkt), has been nothing short of sensational in the current campaign so it comes as no surprise that there’s so much hype around him.
He’s been a level above Aaron Ramsey this season having produced 13 more goals and 12 more assists than the Welshman, so he’d definitely be an upgrade. He has the ability to pick defence-splitting passes from midfield areas and he’s more of a threat in the final third, so Arsenal fans could be in for a treat.
Although, with Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool all fighting for his signature, it won’t be easy for the Gunners to lure him to North London.
Arsenal fans, do you think Ziyech would be an upgrade on Aaron Ramsey? Join in with the discussion below by sharing your thoughts with us.
