Arsenal interested in Nadiem Amiri

Arsenal have been one of the form teams in the Premier League recently as they continue to ensure consistency under Unai Emery at the Emirates.

The Gunners will be desperate to secure a Champions League place in the current campaign, having had to settle for the Europa League over the past couple of seasons.

Although, it appears as if Emery is looking at potential additions at this moment in time, as according to Sport Bild (via The Sun), Arsenal are set to battle Tottenham Hotspur for Hoffenheim attacker Nadiem Amiri’s signature.

Arsenal and North London rivals Tottenham are reportedly leading the chase to sign Hoffenheim’s Nadiem Amiri at the end of the season.

Unfortunately, the highly-rated 22-year-old is yet to feature this season under Julian Nagelsmann at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena as he recovers from a foot injury.

However, this hasn’t stopped clubs from monitoring him, as the likes of Arsenal, Spurs and Schalke are all set to battle it out for his signature.

It appears as if the attacking midfielder is desperate for success as it’s understood that the German youth international would be open to offers to top European side’s who are challenging for titles.

Nadiem Amiri must be a serious talent with a number of clubs still keeping tabs on him, despite his injury troubles.

The Gunners will need to bring in an attacking midfielder in the summer as Aaron Ramsey continues to lean towards the exits at the Emirates Stadium, so it makes sense to swoop in for the German.

Arsenal have managed to get the best out of Mesut Ozil at times, who started his career over in Germany, so there’s no reason as to why the Gunners can’t get the best out of Amiri as well.

Reiss Nelson is currently thriving out on loan at Hoffenheim, so perhaps he can help lure Amiri to the Emirates.
