Arsenal fans must be frustrated with how their side play after a number of indifferent performances that have been followed by a number of inconsistent results. Just taking the Rennes Europa League ties and the Manchester United game, the inconsistency is really easy to see.
Unai Emery may not be too happy with his creative options at the moment, considering the lack of attacking threat they provide at times, however, it appears he could be looking to rectify that in the summer with a player who has been performing well in the Premier League this season.
What’s the News?
According to a report by TeamTALK, Arsenal are considering to make a move for Solly March in the summer.
The Brighton and Hove Albion winger is thought to have impressed scouts with his performances this season and has led to them believing that he could progress quickly and challenge for a first-team place in the squad if he were to join.
Brighton are unlikely going to want to sell their 24-year-old and will not feel under pressure to do so considering they agreed to a new contract extension with the player last summer.
March could be an excellent addition for Arsenal to consider in the summer as he could be a creative outlet that the Gunners could make use of.
The 24-year-old has been impressive for Brighton this season and has registered five assists and one goal in his 28 Premier League appearances so far as he continues to be a real threat for the Seagulls on the left-hand side.
Emery currently utilises Sead Kolasinac at times in the middle of the field, however, with Nacho Monreal starting to decline, the Bosnian could drop back and allow for the March to attack defences on the left, should he arrive at the Emirates Stadium.
It is not just on the left that he could help the Gunners, as he is capable of playing all across the midfield as well, which would provide the manager with a few additional attacking options – especially given the fact that Aaron Ramsey is departing in the summer.
However, he could cost Arsenal a rather large amount of money following the recent contract extension he signed with the Seagulls last year and with the alleged limited budget Emery could have, it remains to be seen if whether a move is viable.
