Arsenal will be desperate to secure a top four place in the current campaign as they’ve had to settle for Europa League football in recent times at the Emirates.
The Gunners still have a couple of things to iron over as they’ve certainly not been perfect recently, but they’re definitely heading in the right direction after securing all three points earlier on today.
However, it appears as if the North London club currently have their sights set on a possible summer swoop, as according to The Sun (via Sports Mole), Arsenal are leading the race to sign Crystal Palace star Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Arsenal are leading the race for the right-back, who could be available for £40 million at the end of the campaign.
Although, the likes of Manchester City and Bayern Munich are still interested, so they’ll still face an uphill task in trying to lure him to the Emirates in the summer.
Hector Bellerin is currently recovering from an injury and Stephan Lichtsteiner hasn’t exactly been able to ensure consistency since moving to England, so reinforcements are definitely required.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is valued at £9 million (by Transfermarkt), has been one of the standout performers for Crystal Palace in the current campaign as he continues to establish himself as a star in the Premier League.
Indeed, it comes as no surprise that the Gunners are looking to bring him to the Emirates as he could definitely take their defence up another level, and has all the potential to become one of the best full-backs in Europe.
