Arsenal keen on move for hugely talented attacker, initial contact has reportedly been made

For the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern, the departure of Alexis Sanchez is quickly becoming inevitable…

The Chilean has just over a year remaining on his contract, and with the likes of PSG and Chelsea reportedly interested, the Gunners will need to make a decision on him.

Of course, a big priority for Arsenal will be finding a replacement for him, and it would appear as though they have singled out a player that could plug the hole.

According to Telefoot, Arsenal are the latest club to have made an enquiry into the situations surrounding Kingsley Coman. Signed to Juventus, but on loan with Bayern Munich, Coman’s current circumstances are murky – given that Bayern Munich have the option to sign him at the end of the season should they choose to.

Whilst Telefoot note that the Gunners have not made a direct bid or formal move, it seems that the interest is certainly there – with Wenger an apparent fan of Coman.

The French attacker has enjoyed a mixed spell at Bayern Munich, with this season largely proving disappointing. Indeed, he has made just 7 starts in the Bundesliga – scoring twice. Though, according to our landlord, much of that is down to the quality that Bayern Munich have – rather than Coman’s lack of said quality.

The Arsenal fans in the pub would certainly be keen for him to join, especially if Sanchez leaves, as expected.
