Arsenal keen on my son reveals starlet’s Dad

He's set to rival Santi Cazorla for the title of smallest Premier League player

Arsenal fans are smiling today in the Football Transfer Tavern as it is noted by the Metro that the club are keen on netting starlet Bernard – well at least according to the player’s father.

The North London club have been linked with the Atletico Minero player for some time now and only this weekend did we reveal that the club were prepared to let the young player go should a valuation of around £25 million be met – this is of course a bit more than Arsene Wenger initially wanted to pay for Bernard – with his valuation standing at around £20 million. Given that the Gunners have already seen three top targets slip through their fingers in the form of Julio Cesar, Stevan Jovetic and also former Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Higuain, landing Bernard is more of a priority than ever.

The player’s father spoke about his sons future and noted that

‘Nothing is decided yet, but we know there is an interest from Arsenal,’

‘There has been nothing official from them.’

He further elaborated by claiming that a host of clubs are interested and added that he felt a move to Arsenal may not be the best idea, stating

‘Porto would be a better move for his career,’

‘It would be a dream of mine to see him playing for them.’

Wenger is as we all know still frantically chasing after Luis Suarez and will be hoping to land both players this summer.

Will Wenger get his men? Rate this rumour below.
