The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have very high hopes for this youngster…
The Arsenal academy is one of the most impressive in England, with a host of young players emerging from the developmental system in recent years.
The latest to make the jump is young Stephy Mavididi – who is very highly rated amongst the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern.
A striker by trade, Mavididi has slowly progressed through the ranks at Arsenal – with a move into the Gunners’ first-team undoubtedly on the horizon.
Seemingly keen to see the youngster progress, Arsenal now reportedly feel that he is ready for the next stage in his progression – with sources revealing to ESPN that the Gunners are now looking to loan Mavididi out, with a host of clubs, both within England and outside of it, reportedly interested in him.
A clinical poacher, Mavididi is the sort of striker that you would expect to pop up with goals in the Premier League, with his natural ability to be in the right position to bag easy finishes eerily reminiscent of Tottenham ace Harry Kane.
Last season was a breakout year for him, scoring a brace in the play-off final en route to the Arsenal under-21 side’s promotion to the top flight – with the forward bagging 17 goals in just 30 appearances last year.
Our landlord thinks that a loan move is a natural step for the youngster, ahead of a potential return to the first team next season.
