The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern aren’t sure what to make of this…
Arsene Wenger has always been fond of signing up young talent, but it would appear that even by his standards – his recent focus on young players is at an all-time high.
Arsenal completed their first deal of the month earlier today, when it was announced that 20-year-old defender Cohen Bramall would switch the non-league for the Premier League after a successful trial.
However, seemingly not content, it would appear as though Bramall is not the only young player that Wenger is looking to sign this month.
According to the Sun, Wenger is also keen on 17-year-old right-back Toby Sibbick, who is also attracting Watford and West Ham.
Currently playing for Wimbledon, Sibbick has clearly impressed Wenger after emerging as one of the Wombles’ most impressive young stars this season.
Sibbick, who only signed his first pro deal in late 2016, is a versatile defender who can play across the back line – and he possesses strength, determination and an excellent eye for the game in what is an increasingly challenging position in England.
The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are holding out on their judgement until they see him play, but the signs are certainly looking good…
