Wolverhampton Wanderers are still looking to make moves on the transfer front and could bring in as many as three players before the window shuts.
The Midlands club have already secured the services of a number of players this summer and will no doubt be looking to strengthen even further ahead of their first season back in the Premier League. Although, they suffered a setback in their pursuit of a central defender recently, as according to Sun Sport, Arsenal are plotting a £25 million move for Wolves target Domagoj Vida.
Interestingly, Besiktas chairman Fikret Orman is ready to sell at the right price and is expecting an offer from Premier League newcomers Wolves.
However, Nuno Espirito Santo may have to turn his attentions elsewhere as Arsenal are looking to splash the cash on the World Cup star, so it may be out of his hands.
Indeed, it shouldn’t be too difficult for the Croatian to choose where he moves this summer, as Arsenal are able to offer European football in comparison to Wolves.
Wolves are in desperate need of a central defender this summer and could still bring one in before the transfer window deadline. But, with Arsenal reportedly plotting a £25 million bid for the central defender, it doesn’t look as if the Midlands club will be able to compete with the attraction of European football.
But, this won’t bother them too much as there’re plenty of other targets that they could look to pursue, with plenty of hard work being put in behind the scenes.
