Arsenal have won their last two games after being thumped by Liverpool in the Premier League, with their top-four quest back on track and a place booked in the next round of the FA Cup.
Unai Emery will no doubt set his goal on securing a top-four spot in order to please the fans and the board, as everyone involved with the club will be desperate to see their side back in the Champions League.
Interestingly, it appears as if the North London club are eyeing a possible swoop, as according to Football-Italia (via 101 Great Goals), Arsenal have taken the lead in the race to sign Yannick Carrasco.
Manchester United have been linked with a move for the Belgian in recent weeks, but it now looks as if they’re behind in the race as Arsenal have reportedly taken a firm lead in the race to secure his signature.
And, it’s thought that the winger has given his approval to a move to the Emirates.
The Gunners could do with bringing in attacking reinforcements as they’re low on numbers in wide areas, so a January deal would make sense for Emery.
Yannick Carrasco, who is valued at £18 million (by Transfermarkt), has the ability to excel in the Premier League having displayed his quality in previous years at Atletico Madrid and on the international stage with Belgium.
The Gunners would definitely receive a big boost in their pursuit of a top-four spot and silverware in the Europa League if they secure the services of Carrasco, as he can produce goals and provide assists on a regular basis.
