Gilberto SilvaArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have become accustomed to seeing former stars linked with a return to the north London giants, although the latest man to express his interest is a former player they’d love to see return.

Inside Futbol quotes Arsenal invincible Gilberto Silva has confirmed his intention to return to the Gunners in the future, taking a senior role within the squad.

Since bringing an end to his playing days, the Brazilian has been studying about the business side of football and is keen to get involved with his beloved club again in the future, as he said:

‘I live with my family now and look out for my business and for business opportunities. I follow football and I am trying to find a way to be involved. I am studying a course on general management to prepare myself.’

‘I want to be prepared if I decide to one day return to football as sporting director or in another role. That will help me a lot.’

‘I haven’t received an invitation at the moment, but if one day I get an invitation I will think carefully, because Arsenal are a team I really love.’
