The closure of the summer transfer window in the Football Transfer Tavern has left something of a void in the bar as punters try to get their transfer fix.
John Cross from Mirror Football has arrived in the bar for a quiet pint to be confronted by excited Gunners supporters who have heard that the journalist has more news on potential marquee signings.
Cross takes a seat by the bar and explains to wide eyed punters that Wenger will be offered the money to make another ‘mega signing’ during the January transfer window and could move for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez again.

Luis Suarez was a summer target for the Gunners but an offer of £40,000,001 was rejected by the Anfield outfit and the North London club will now keep watch on the situation as they look for a long-term quality striker.
While Olivier Giroud has started the season in sensational form with four goals in his first five appearances, the Gunners still have a lack of depth in attack and Wenger will surely be looking to add a new forward in four months’ time.
