Here in the Football Transfer Tavern we love nothing more than a good old fashioned rumour and that is exactly what The Daily Express have provided us with after they claimed that Galatasaray forward Burak Yilmaz is being tracked by Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.
The Istanbul giants are facing the fight of their lives to hold onto their star forward who has been simply sensational netting 26 goals in 31 games since his move from Trabzonspor in the summer and now the top clubs not just in the Premier League but across Europe are after the powerful forward.
This has not escaped the notice of manager Faith Terim who when speaking to the Observer claimed that: “It’s not going to be easy to keep him.
“He has targets but it will be his decision. Being wanted is a good thing, but we are fond of him and believe he will do great things for us in the future.”
The Turkish club are of course gearing up to face Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals and given Yilmaz has netted eight goals in Europe’s premier competition already, the interest in him is only set to escalate further.
Will any of the English elite win the race for Yilmaz? Rate this rumour below.
