With Liverpool and Arsenal set to miss out on Pedro to Juventus, both sets of supports in the Football Transfer Tavern have their eyes set on another La Liga star instead.
According to The Express, Isco nothing more than a glorified back-up choice at Real Madrid and despite making a bright start at the Bernabeu, after a loss of form and a change in the formation, he has now dropped out of Carlo Ancelotti’s plans.
Madrid fans oversaw a summer of transformation with the departures of Angel Di Maria and Xabi Alonso with the duo having been replaced with James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos.
The new arrivals have bedded into the first team seamlessly leaving Isco out of the picture, meaning that the 22-year-old could be plotting an exit in January.
This is where Brendan Rodgers and Arsene Wenger come into the situation with both Premier League bosses being fans of the versatile playmaker.
Despite reports claiming Juventus have all but signed Pedro, Rodgers and Wenger will still keep tabs on the former World Cup winner but will focus on the capture of Isco.
City boss Manuel Pellegrini could also be weighing up a move for Isco after forging a close bond with him during their time together at Malaga but the Chilean knows that in order to bring him in, he must sell some of his own players first.
Arsenal & Liverpool fans. Is Isco really a transfer priority when you both have the likes of Cazorla, Ozil and Oxlade-Chamberlain and Lallana, Markovic and Sterling? Let us know your thoughts below.
