Arsenal & Liverpool hold transfer hope

vorm.jpgThere was potentially good news for fans of Arsenal and Liverpool in the Football Transfer Tavern today after Swansea City  keeper Michel Vorm welcomed speculation linking him with a move away from the Liberty Stadium in the summer.

There has been continuous speculation about the 29-year-old Dutchman moving away from South Wales after his fine form caught the eye of top Premier League clubs.

And while refusing to comment directly on rumours, the former Utrecht shot stopper admits in Metro that he is pleased with his recent form and that will reflect well on his performances with Michael Laudrup’s side.

“Obviously you never know what can happen in football, but I see myself playing here next season,” he said.

“It is all speculation, but in some ways it is positive because it means people look at you as someone who is doing well.”

The Swans goalkeeper is wanted at Anfield to replace Pepe Reina while it is thought to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is also interested as he seeks to fix his keeper issues following a below par season from current number one Wojciech Szczesny.
