Arsenal locked in four-club transfer tussle for French starlet

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern believe that they need another centre back in their ranks.

Per Mertesacker is coming towards the end of his career and Arsene Wenger has been scouring the transfer market for possible replacements.

According to The Sun, Arsenal will make a move for young defender Harold Moukouni as a long term solution to the centre back problem.

Harold Moukouni is wanted by a number of clubs across Europe after impressing for Le Havre AC.

Le Havre play in Ligue 2 – the second tier of French domestic football – and Arsene Wenger has been attracted by Moukouni’s height and power.

The France under-18 international is wanted by French duo Nice and Bordeaux as he earns plenty of plaudits in France.

German side Red Bull Leipzig are also monitoring Moukouni ahead of a potential move.

Le Havre are reportedly resigned to losing the 19-year-old but would like him to be loaned back for the remainder of the 2017/18 season if he leaves during the upcoming January transfer window.

Harold Moukouni has made nine appearances for Le Havre so far this season and is impressing scouts who attend games to track his progress.

Arsenal could make a swoop for him in the coming months.
