Arsenal will be desperate to improve on things with the New Year almost upon us, as they currently find themselves behind in the race for a top-four spot.
The Gunners have dropped off the pace in recent times and run the risk of slipping too far behind, so the January transfer window could prove crucial. Although, it appears as if the North London side are set to miss out on a transfer, as according to Sun Sport, Liverpool are on the verge of signing Christian Pulisic.
Liverpool are on the verge of beating Arsenal to land Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic.
Interestingly, Arsenal have seen an initial £35 million bid rejected by the German side, with Liverpool making the most of the situation by putting in an opening offer of £45 million, which is closer to Dortmund’s asking price.
Indeed, Arsenal are arguably one world-class attacker away from reaching a new level under Unai Emery.
But, with the Reds seemingly receiving full backing from their owners to go out and sign the attacker, it may be very difficult for the Gunners to match up.
Christian Pulisic has established himself as one of the hottest topics in world football, so it comes as no surprise that the Gunners are looking to secure his services.
But, with Liverpool seemingly set to complete the signing having bid the highest at this moment in time, the Gunners may find it very difficult to match a side that can provide Champions League football and potentially silverware.
So, it comes as a huge blow as he could easily take the Gunners’ attack to the next level, along with helping their top-four push massively.
