Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are quickly scouring the web for as much information as they can find regarding a new target on their transfer wish-list.
Russian media outlet Izvestia state Arsenal are expressing interest in Spartak Moscow winger Quincy Promes, who scored 18 goals from a wide position during the 2015/16 season.
The 24-year-old Dutch international recently hinted that he’s looking for a move to a bigger league this summer and the Premier League would certainly whet his appetite, whilst Arsenal could do with additions out wide.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott struggled vastly last season, with suggestions they could now be on the way out, and Promes would be an exciting replacement for either of the English duo.
However, Arsenal could find competition for the player’s talents very close to home, as it’s stated north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also expressing interest in the player’s services.
Our landlord doesn’t know too much about the player but given he’d likely cost a low fee, he believes it’s worth a gamble.
