Arsenal manager hints at future international role, contract up next summer

wengerArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are discussing the possibility of their manager having another job after he leaves the Gunners, after comments made this week.

The Daily Mirror states Arsene Wenger has not ruled out being the manager of France in the future, with his contract at the Emirates Stadium due to expire at the end of the 2016/17 season.

Wenger has managed the Gunners since 1996, and is widely expected to bring his role in north London to an end when his contract expires, but it seems Wenger could be set for one final role before he retires.

Speaking to BeIn Sport, where he’s working as a pundit during Euro 2016, Wenger refused to rule out a future international management role.

“I am getting a bit old now to make long-term plans!. For the moment I am a club manager, we shall see what happens.”

Our landlord thinks Wenger will end up extending his contract at Arsenal and believes the time for him to many France has long gone.
