Arsenal managerial hunt intensifies as contact made with one of the world’s best – Report

Arsenal fans here in the Tavern are desperate to see a new manager at the club, after Arsene Wenger announced that he’ll be leaving the Emirates at the end of the season.

Indeed, the Gunners have had a season to forget as they could miss out on Champions League football once again, with a new manager set to take charge at the end of the current campaign. And, it looks as if Arsenal have wasted no time in looking for Arsene Wenger’s replacement, as according to SunSport, Arsenal have made contact with Luis Enrique about becoming the club’s new manager.

Arsenal chiefs have spoken to Luis Enrique about succeeding Arsene Wenger as manager, with many of our local residents wanting to see the former Barcelona boss take charge at the Emirates.

The Spaniard won the treble in his first season at the Nou Camp and added another La Liga title and two more Copa del Reys before leaving, so he could definitely bring success to North London if he succeeds Wenger.

However, the Gunners do have other candidates that they may opt for instead of Luis Enrique, as Brendan Rodgers and Max Allegri remain targets.

Landlord’s Verdict:

Arsenal supporters will be delighted that their side are beginning to weight up different managerial options, with Luis Enrique arguably being one of the world’s best managers. And, with Brendan Rodgers and Max Allegri also on the shortlist to become the next manager, it looks as if Arsenal may be title contenders next season.
