Arsenal and Manchester United fans are both alerted in the Football Transfer Tavern as The Express reveal that Atletico Madrid are ready to sell Alessio Cerci.
The Italian international moved to Spain from Torino this past summer after a rich vein of form but has since struggled to settle into life in La Liga
It has been that bad in fact that his boss Diego Simeone has not even handed him a single start since his £13 million switch from Turin.
Last summer, United and the Gunners were amongst a whole host of European clubs chasing Cerci and it is believed the two English clubs are willing to renew that interest in January.
The Spanish champions will be happy to let him leave in January but only for the initial price they paid for him.
Punters see it as big risk because handing him a lifeline could only lead to the same situation as he may struggle to settle into life in England and then get isolated from the first team.
Although then again, £13 million is nothing nowadays if he manages to resurrect his form displayed in Italy.
However, it is believed the new Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini is desperately interested too and Cerci may be seeking a move back to his homeland.
