Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern almost fell off their chairs this morning, when they heard that one of their midfielders has demanded an immediate transfer exit.
Fortunately their fears were soon relayed as they heard the extent of the report, with The Daily Express quoting highly-rated Daniel Crowley as wanting to go out on-loan this month.
The 18-year-old youth prospect has already spent time on-loan this season, with League One side Barnsley, where he was hailed as the best 18-year-old manager Lee Johnson has ever seen.
He returned from a six-month spell early but the stint clearly made an impression on the teenage midfielder, who now wants another loan spell to help his development and his plans to force his way into the Gunners first-team.
“I want to go out on loan to get more experience. I think it will benefit me in the future and will get me closer to the first team here at Arsenal,”
“To be out on loan playing first-team football it is very different. It was a good experience – I learnt a lot about myself, a lot about the game and what it is like to be in a first-team environment.”
“Hopefully I will get my chance soon – I just have to see when the boss wants me. I’m back at home with my friends and top players.”
Our Arsenal punters have kept close eyes on Crowley and, after almost having a heart attack whilst playing darts when they first heard the news, believe a loan stint away from the club would be extremely beneficial.
