Arsenal midfielder set for imminent PL departure

The Arsenal fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern were not expecting this one…

Whilst Jack Wilshere is definitely a fan favourite amongst the Arsenal faithful here in the Football Transfer Tavern; even they would admit that they are slightly frustrated at his lack of game-time over the last year or two…

He has suffered with constant injuries for a couple of years now, and only made a very disappointing 3 Premier League appearances last year.

Whilst the majority of Arsenal fans haven’t given up on Wilshere yet; they are definitely in agreement that he needs game time – or he could risk stalling his development.

It emerged yesterday that Arsene Wenger was seemingly in agreement, with the Le Prof reportedly happy to send the English midfielder out on loan – much to the surprise of everyone here in the Tavern.

Now, fast forward 24 hours – and the picture surrounding this deal appears much clearer.

According to Sky Sports, Wilshere will today make the decision on which club he will join this season – with Bournemouth and Crystal Palace at the top of his list. He reportedly met the two club’s managers yesterday ahead of the move.

Our landlord thinks that we can expect an announcement an the deal at some point today.

Whilst he has suffered with injuries in recent years, there is no denying just how good Wilshere is when he’s on form. One particularly vocal Arsenal fan here in the Tavern recently proclaimed that he would be the best midfielder in the world without injuries – and our landlord has found it hard to disagree.

With one good, injury-free season under his belt – Wilshere could be back to his brilliant best…
