There is general appreciation here in the Football Transfer Tavern as it is claimed by The Independent that Arsenal could well be set to lose one of their misfit players.
It is claimed that Gervinho could well be on his way out of the club after Marseille were considering making a bid for the Ivorian. Arsene Wenger is of course considering a total overhaul of his squad this summer and Gervinho could well provide some much needed money should he decide to make the move to Ligue 1 and join Marseille.
Wenger is of course considering making several changes to his squad this summer and has already been linked with just about everyone on the planet as he considers who to make a Gunner in the hope that this will finally allow the club to challenge for a title again.
Former Lille player Gervinho is of course familiar with Ligue 1 and given the fact that his time at Arsenal cannot be considered to be a success having only scored 11 goals since arriving in 2011 not to mention the fact that the more new arrivals, the further down the pecking order he could well fall, a move to the Stade Velodrome could well be on the cards.
Marseille’s assistant coach Franck Passi said: “This is a profile that interests us, yes. We want flank players, with dribbling, passing and scoring and Gervinho has this profile.”
Will this Arsenal flop move back to Ligue 1 this summer? Rate this rumour below.
