Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have endured a difficult festive period, securing valuable victories against Manchester City and Bournemouth but finding themselves of the receiving end of a drubbing against Southampton.
That’s led to them drinking may pints for a variety of reasons but there could be cause for celebration, with some potentially positive news on the transfer front- although it would come as a cost.
Arsenal have been keeping close tabs on the Serbian midfielder this season, in their search for replacements for crocked duo Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla, and are said to have made contact with the player ahead of a potential move.
Brozovic is currently on-loan at Inter Milan from Dinamo Zagreb and the Italian side possess an optional purchase clause come the summer. However, Roberto Mancini’s side are prepared to sell immediately to Arsenal should their demands be met.
Gooners at the bar are impressed by Brozovic’s talent but believe this is a move that should be pursued later on in the season, with the priority being players that can bolster the side in the new year.
Arsenal fans, does Brozovic match the calibre of player you need? Let us know in the comments below!
