While much of the talk amongst the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern is naturally centred around the notion of Jamie Vardy moving to the Emirates Stadium, another story has emerged for the Gunners to sink their teeth into.
According to the Daily Mail, the North London giants are ready to farm Calum Chambers out on loan to Premier League rivals Watford for the duration of next season.
The 22-year old has seen his progress stall since moving to the Emirates Stadium from Southampton in the summer of 2014, with suggestions he could move back to the South Coast emerging recently.
However, Arsene Wenger is reportedly refusing to give up on the England international and is only willing to afford him a year to develop elsewhere as he plots a major surge for an elusive fourth Premier League title.
With that in mind, the Hornets are believed to be interested in luring him to Vicarage Road in order to aid such development.
Can Chambers develop into a top class central defender?
