Arsenal need to secure key players

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping to secure the long-term future of some key players in the next few weeks.

Ever since the summer transfer window, speculation concerning the future’s of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez has consistently persisted in the media.

After all this time, the Arsenal supporters in the tavern still do not know whether either of their star players will remain at the Emirates for much longer, but in recent weeks the future of Jack Wilshere has become another talking point of discussion for the resident gunners propping up the bar.

Wilshere has been written off by plenty of football fans in the last few years whilst he has been battling against a variety of different injury problems that have served to plague his career and stagnate his development.

Until the injury of Aaron Ramsey, Wilshere was struggling to break into the first-team and he was mainly restricted to a handful of appearances in the Europa League and the Carabao Cup.

However, Wenger has entrusted Wilshere in central midfield ever since Ramsey was ruled out with a hamstring injury, and so far he has been very impressive and assured in his performances.

The qualities he demonstrated in abundance as a young player in dictating the tempo of the game and gliding past opponents with and without the ball have returned to his performances in recent weeks – a sign which is extremely encouraging for England ahead of the World Cup next year.

Wilshere has proven that he still has the ability to perform at the highest level in the last three Premier League matches, and he is bound to improve with every passing game after spending such a long time away from regular first-team football at Arsenal.

Arsenal are in danger of falling behind their top-four rivals if they are unable to keep hold of Ozil and Sanchez beyond the end of the season, so they must offer Wilshere a new contract as soon as possible to ensure that they do not lose any more talented players this season.

You do have to worry about Arsenal finishing in the top four, but most bookmakers seem to think they will, and our landlord here in Transfer Tavern advises to look at bettingtop10.com, to find the best deals on Arsenal’s top four odds.
