Arsenal offered quality midfield target in bargain £15m deal

BrozovicArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern celebrated last night’s FA Cup drubbing of Hull City long into the night, leading to some heavy heads this morning, but they’ve found some energy to discuss an exciting transfer report on the sofas.

Talksport indicate that Inter Milan are prepared to sell long-term Arsenal target Marcelo Brozovic to the Gunners, as they look to free-up funds for their own planned transfer activity.

Arsenal are expected to reshuffle their midfield ranks in the summer as experienced trio Mikel Arteta, Tomas Rosicky and Mathieu Flamini are expected to leave upon the expiration of their contracts- whilst Santi Cazorla also only likely has a few more years.

The Gunners have had their eyes on the Croatian for some time but seemed to have missed out when Inter loaned the midfielder from Dinamo Zagreb, with the deal set to become permanent by obligation in the summer.

However, Inter are prepared to sell Brozovic immediately for £15m as Roberto Mancini plots his own summer activity and needs the funds to do so.

Our landlord feels Brozovic, at just 23, would be an ideal long-term addition to the Gunners squad and he feels Arsene Wenger will bite the Italian side’s hand-off to land this deal.

Arsenal fans, what area of the squad should be the priority this summer? Let us know in the comments below!
