It’s been one handful of bad news after another in the Transfer Tavern for Arsenal fans recently and the group of lads at the bar aren’t overly confident about their lunchtime trip to Goodison Park tomorrow in the Premier League.
A defeat there would surely mean the end of Arsenal’s title push, which already seems over given they’re 11 points behind Leicester City, but there is some positive developments on the transfer front ahead of a busy summer.
The Mirror says Arsenal have been offered the services of global superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who’s available on a free transfer this summer when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain reaches it’s conclusion.
34-year-old Ibrahimovic is one of the best strikers of the decade and his four goal haul against Troyes at the weekend helped PSG clinch a fourth consecutive Ligue 1 crown, whilst handing Ibrahimovic his 28th career honour.
A host of top sides have been linked with Ibrahimovic’s signature but Arsenal will be boosted by the news that the Swedish international prefers a move to London– although his mammoth wages of £250k-a-week could be problematic.
With the Gunners in desperate need of a world-class striker, our landlord believes this deal is a no brainer and that Arsenal definitely need to get a deal for Ibrahimovic over the line.
