They may have been thrashed by Manchester City this weekend, but here in the Football Transfer Tavern, there is finally some good news for Arsenal fans according to Metro.
The club could well be set to find the solution to their striking problem, with Swansea City’s Michu finally opening the door to a move away from the Liberty Stadium.
As one of our punters reminds up, up until now, the Spaniard has been adamant that his future lies at the Swans, yet evidently the chance to move to what is deemed to be a ‘bigger club’ seems to have gotten too much for the forward.
Arsenal are on the lookout for another striker to lead their line, and despite Olivier Giroud being impressive this term, Arsene Wenger does need another option up top. That, as our landlord points out, was clearly evident during their defeat.
Michu claimed that: “Every player dreams about playing in big teams, clubs who play in the Champions League and fight for titles,
“I am no different. I’m very happy at Swansea but it is obvious that every player wants to grow up and see how far you can go.”
That will not please Jacks manager Michael Laudrup at all, who is determined to keep hold of all their star players.
Will Wenger return once again for Michu? Let us know your thoughts below.
