Arsenal open talks to capture two German internationals

Benedikt HowedesArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are excitedly discussing suggestions that a major double-deal could be secured in January, with one addition being an absolute bargain.

SportWitness run with a story from German outlet SportBild, which suggest Arsenal have begun negotiations to capture German internationals Karim Bellarabi and Benedikt Howedes in 2016.

Sensationally, 27-year-old Schalke defender Howedes is available for just €10m next summer due to a release clause in his contract and the German World Cup winner is desperate for his chance in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, 25-year-old Bayer Leverkusen attacker Karim Bellarabi would add a huge boost to Arsenal’s wide options. His addition would create a deal forward trio alongside Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, whilst his blistering pace would make Arsenal’s right-side formidable- ahead of young Spaniard Hector Bellerin.

Many at the bar consider a natural winger the ideal purchase for Arsenal, stating that Aaron Ramsey will thrive replacing Santi Cazorla in central-midfield in the long-term, whilst also stating an established defender is also necessary.
