James Collins was sent off on the opening day against Tottenham for two yellow cards and James Tomkins is struggling with a hamstring niggle.
But it could be about to get worse as according to the Mirror Arsenal are weighing up a move for star defender Winston Reid.
The 26-year old centre-back is out of contract at the end of the season and it is believed that Arsene Wenger is keeping tabs.
To date the New Zealand international had played 94 times for the Hammers since he made the move from Danish side FC Midtjylland.
That move came after an impressive World Cup campaign and he has become a firm Upton Park favourite since.
Not least because he smashed home a winner against rivals Millwall when the Premier League outfit dropped into the Championship.
West Ham fans: Is it poor management by your side to let Reid get down to the final year of his contract? Let us know your thoughts below.
