Arsenal plotting ‘last-ditch’ deal for 5ft 8 forward to help bolster attacking options

Ezequiel LavezziArsenal supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern are reading the latest news from Italian publication CalcioMercato (Via Talksport) – with the publication suggesting that the Gunners are eyeing a ‘last-ditch’ deal to sign PSG forward Ezequiel Lavezzi.

The 30-year-old forward has been at the Ligue One club since 2012, and it seems that his time in France could be up, with a move to the Emirates Stadium looming.

Our landlord here in the Transfer Tavern feels that Lavezzi would undoubtedly enhance the attacking options at Arsenal, and could ultimately aid their chances of winning a Premier League trophy!

A couple of our resident Gooners over by the pool table are a bit cautious about this move though, and feel that Lavezzi is past it, and his best days are behind him – something that our landlord somewhat agrees with!

The Arsenal fans here in the Tavern are still buzzing from their 2-0 victory over Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium in the Champions League, and we cannot blame them, it was one hell of a win for the north London outfit!

Arsenal fans….. What do you make of this news? Would you like to see Lavezzi at Arsenal? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
