Arsenal plotting move for Mesut Ozil’s former teammate, Chelsea also keen

wenger44Arsenal supporting punters here in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking up at the news from the Express with interest – with the publication claiming that Arsenal have joined Chelsea in the race to sign Real Madrid striker Jese Rodriguez.

Jese, 22, has been at Real Madrid his whole career but has found it hard to break into the first-team at the La Liga giants, with him having to battle with the likes of Ronaldo, Benzema and Bale for a starting berth.

Our landlord here in the Tavern has watched the 5ft 10 forward on many occasions on the big screen here in the Transfer Tavern, and feels that the player clearly has talent, but he needs to find a club that will appreciate and nurture that talent!

Our resident Gooners over by the open fire in the Transfer Tavern, feel the Emirates Stadium would be the perfect destination for the Spanish frontman, with them all agreeing that Arsene Wenger would help develop him as a professional footballer.

Meanwhile, a few Chelsea fans over in the corner admit they aren’t too bothered about this, and want the club to be signing someone like Edinson Cavani, instead of a promising 22-year-old!

Arsenal fans…… What do you make of this news? Would you like to see Jese at your club? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
